Abstract(in English) | Meteor bursts are roughly classified into underdense and overdense bursts according to their line electron density. As for the performance evaluation of meteor burst communications (MBC), however, a simplified channel model assuming only underdense bursts is usually used. In this paper, we propose a more realistic channel model that takes into account the time variation and peak received power distribution of reflected waves from overdense bursts in addition to underdense bursts, and compare the results with those of the MBC verification experiment conducted by the authors in Indonesia. |
