Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS), in which the same radio resource is shared by multiple wireless systems, has been considered to improve frequency utilization efficiency. In DSS, the observer observes the channel occupancy ratio (COR) and the number of radio resources, such as frequencies used by other wireless systems, and dynamically selects the channel with the lowest COR for communication. As the number of channels increases, the observation time becomes longer, resulting in increased transmission delay and reduced throughput. In addition, many existing studies have been conducted with limited interference patterns. This report considers a two-step channel observation scheme to shorten the observation time. In the first observation, all channels are observed, and channels with high COR are excluded from the observation results. In the second observation, only the selected channels are observed to shorten the observation time and improve the throughput. Computer simulations were conducted to evaluate three different interference patterns, and it was shown that the throughput could be improved by setting the first observation time ratio to 0.2 and the number of excluded channels to five.
