Abstract(in English) A transmission system using coupled multicore fiber (MCF) has been proposed as one of the candidates for future large-capacity communication. In order to put the coupled MCF into practical use, it is necessary to clarify the effects of the angular misalignment and axial misalignment of each core of the coupled MCF on the mode-dependent loss and crosstalk between modes. In this paper, we report the results of an electromagnetic field analysis that investigated the effect of axis misalignment on attenuation.
