Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we study personal authentication using the living areas based on GPS data. The latitude and longitude of the GPS data are assigned to the IDs of tiles that divide the world map into hexagons, and the living area is represented as a set of hexagons of points on the map, such as places to stay and travel routes. We assume that the use of changeable granularity living areas can be used for logging into applications and access control as personal authentication that does not require passwords, security codes, or any other special operations. In this paper, we first use the user's living area for one month as registration data, and the user's living area for one week as input data. Then, we perform similarity calculations using the Simpson's coefficient, the Dice similarity coefficient, and the Cosine similarity between the two living areas, and consider personal authentication based on identity determination using a threshold value. As a result of the comparison, it was found that the Cosine similarity has the highest authentication accuracy in personal authentication using the living areas.
