| Abstract(in English) | Recent advances in communications such as Internet of Things and high-speed satellite communication have become key drivers toward Digital Transformation (DX) of maritime areas which has lagged behind that of land one, because of its harsh environment. On the other hand, we have long developed technologies related to acoustic communication and remote control through the experiences with the inspection of optical submarine cables. Combining our asset with the recent technology progress, we have developed water-area drones. In this paper, we introduce a water-surface drone and air-to-sea drone aiming for the acceleration of the maritime DX and contribution to global agenda such as promoting blue carbon to achieve carbon neutrality and making water-related industries sustainable. |
