Abstract(in English) | This paper experimentally demonstrates a novel received signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) prediction based on a two-sided beam search in millimeter wave (mmWave) networks toward 6G. In particular, the prediction uses the SNR through a two-sided beam search rather than the one-sided beam search assumed in existing studies. We believe that the received SNR prediction will lead to proactive control that solves the problem of mmWave networks, in which received power is significantly and rapidly attenuated by shielding. The mapping from the SNRs of the two-sided beam search to future received SNR was learned with LightGBM. The experimental results confirm that the method based on a two-sided beam search is more informative about the position and velocity information of obstacles than the method based on a one-sided beam search and that the received SNR prediction is more accurate. |
