Abstract(in English) | In this study, A Fukui-Ishibashi cellular automaton traffic flow model is constructed and a new traffic signal control method that minimizes the total number of traffic jams for the model is proposed. Especially, a nonlinear integer optimization problem with a evaluation function on the total number of traffic jams is formulated and a solving method for the problem based on the genetic algorithm is developed. From numerical simulations, it can be confirmed that the purposed method can reduce the total traffic jams most in comparison with other methods, and hence it is effective. |
