Design performance evaluation of CSD coefficient FIR filters for upper bounds on available non-zero digits

Abstract(in English) This study examines the effect of circuit size on design performance in CSD coefficient FIR filter design. the multiplier dominates the circuit size of the FIR filter. In particular, it depends on the setting of the number of nonzero digits, which determines the number of shifters inside the multiplier. In this study, we evaluate the design performance with respect to the upper bound of the number of nonzero digits. We also examine the trade-off between the number of nonzero digits and design error.
