Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Beyond 5G is expected to realize not only high-capacity and low-latency transmission but also highly reliabe optical networks, which can immediately recover from an event of a disaster and a failure. For example, when optical signals are degraded due to a failure of an optical amplifier and abnormal loss, it is necessary to identify the position of the abnormalities for the instant recovery. In this manuscript, we propose a novel method based on optical eigenvalue transmission for measuring abnormal noise points by loss based on optical eigenvalue transmission, and show the results of a feasibility study by numerical simulations.
