| Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we devise and verify the effectiveness of ``nudges that do not rely on economic incentives'' to promote spatial crowd avoidance in the seat selection screen of a movie theater ticket reservation system. Here, we devise three types of nudges: (i) making seats in less crowded areas stand out, (ii) presenting social norms, and (iii) suggesting seats in less crowded areas to people who have selected seats in crowded areas. The results of verification experiments show that the seat selection screen with the nudges applied may be more effective in promoting spatial crowd avoidance than the seat selection screen in existing movie theater ticket reservation systems. The spatial crowd avoidance contribute to reducing discomfort by keeping personal space for facility users, preventing infectious diseases, and shortening the time required to complete evacuation in the disaster. |
