Statistical Analysis of Multiconductor Non-Uniform Transmission Line with Variations in Line Height and Line gap using Polynomial Chaos Methods

Abstract(in English) Monte Carlo (MC) method, which is commonly used in a statistical analysis, can perform highly accurate calculations, but its computational efficiency is poor. For this reason, Polynomial Chaos Expansion (PCE) has been proposed as a method for high efficiency computation. In this study, we attempt to propose statistical analysis of common-mode current on multiconductor non-uniform transmission lines with variations in line height and line gap stochastically, using PCE and Stochastic Galerkin (SG) method. The validity of the proposed method is discussed by comparing the accuracy and computational efficiency with the results obtained using MC method. It is demonstrated that information can be calculated 23 times faster than MC method while maintaining the similar accuracy with MC method.
