Abstract(in English) | For the past 100 years, the electron saturation velocity, which is an important parameter of semiconductors, has been about 1/1000 of the speed of light. On the other hand, the current output from the transistor to the antenna flows through the antenna conductor at the speed of light, becomes an electromagnetic wave according to the theory of relativity, and propagates in four-dimensional space. Microwave engineering has been a discipline in such a gap. However, in recent years, the gate length of the device has approached 3 nm, and the concept of crystal structure has changed. In addition, the limits of the spatial transmission line eigenvalues of massive MIMO, which is an honor student for big data analysis in 5G, are also coming into view, and OAM wave research to fundamentally break this is also active. In this talk, we will talk about the glory and decline of the industries in the semiconductor and microwave fields of Japan, as well as the technological revolution that should be faced. This is a bird's-eye view based on the author's experience in research and development over the past 50 years. |
