Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) work via a cycle, collecting data from the physical world, analyzing it in the digital world, and using the results to provide feedback into the physical world again. Implementing and expanding CPS ensures the development of a digitalized society. Fujitsu is working towards this goal under the Second CPS Project of the Cabinet Office Strategic Innovation Program (SIP). Ritsumeikan University and Fujitsu believe robotics is a key technology for CPS. Robots integrated with sensor networks and edge/cloud systems provide the means to close the feedback loop. We are developing technologies and performing experiments to realize this fusion. In addition, it must be possible for anyone to manage edge services at every stage from planning to operation. However, edge services are made up of complex technologies and interactions, and the necessary expertise is hard to attain. To address this problem, we are developing a platform that allows anyone to manage edge services easily using an abstract service catalog view. It is essential to make use of open source and market feedback, and participate in open communities to develop these initiatives. For this reason, we have launched several projects in LF Edge, the Linux Foundation’s edge-focused community. |
