Optimized Design of 19-Core Fibers for High Density Optical Wiring

Abstract(in English) A design of a 19-core MCF suitable for high-density wiring in equipment was studied. As a result, it was found that a 19-core Multicore Fiber (MCF) with a core pitch of 30 ?m and a cladding diameter of 175.4 ?m, which has low XT and low bending loss characteristics, can be realized by using an optimized trench core based on simulation. This 19-core MCF is considered to have characteristics suitable for MCFs used in equipment wiring, where high core interconnection density and minimum bend radius reduction are required.
