Abstract(in English) | Metalens antennas are suitable for integration with various terahertz continuous-wave (CW) sources. However, high directivity metalens antennas are essential for emerging terahertz industries, including 6G wireless communications. Here, we present the design of a large aperture 4-layer laminated metalens antenna with a diameter of 27 mm (28λ) and thickness of 203 μm. The laminated metalens antenna controls folded phases of terahertz waves radiated from terahertz CW sources by the design principle of Fresnel lenses. The simulated directivity of the metalens antenna mounted on a resonant tunneling diode is 30 dB at 0.312 THz. The proposed metalens antenna with high directivity would be integrated with various terahertz wave sources. |
