| Abstract(in English) | Over the last few years, internet banking has become the primary way of accessing banking services for many bank customers in both developing and developed countries because it is fast and easy to access. Every major bank utilizes internet banking to serve its customers. Security has remained to be a major problem in internet banking. Many frauds have been consistently reported, millions of dollars have been lost due to frauds in internet banking. Analyzing the state of Cybersecurity in internet banking, first and foremost understanding and finding the major causes and types of attacks that target internet banking is the first step towards solving this challenge. Findings of the research from interviews of high performing banks in Japan, observations,experiments and laboratory simulations will help to improve cybersecurity best practices in Tanzania on internet banking. The research will lead to the discovery of new technologies,techniques, practices, guidelines and policies that will improve cyber defense and resiliency in internet banking for Tanzania. |
