Abstract(in English) In any lossy networks such as optical packet switching (OPS) networks and wireless networks, data recovery from frequent packet loss is essential. We focus on a data transmission method based on Erasure-coding, a type of Forward Error Correction code that uses eXclusive-OR operations between packets in the encoding/decoding process, and smart feedback mechanism from the receiver. So far, we quantitatively verified good performance of the proposed method through computer simulation. In this paper, we conduct software implementation of the proposed method and demonstration experimentation on a practical OPS network testbed. The results clarify that the proposed method can improve the processing time, the number of transmitted packets required to decode the data, and the average throughput in an environment with constant packet loss.
