Abstract(in English) | Most of the current methods for motion and action recognition acquire skeletal information by tracking feature points such as joints, and various analyses are conducted based on the changes in these coordinates. However, such methods cannot be applied to organisms or objects with deformation patterns that are difficult to track feature points. In this study, we propose a method for analyzing deformation patterns using changes in the frequency distribution of shape features of a 3D point cloud to recognize the motion and behavior of non-rigid objects for which skeletal information analysis cannot be applied due to the difficulty of tracking feature points. Experimental results show that repeated deformation patterns can be detected using a self-similarity matrix, and that the method can be applied to various types of analysis by creating a similarity matrix between the patterns found and the objects to be analyzed. |
