Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Visually impaired people tend to eat such as "eating one kind of food at a time" or "mixing all the food together" when eating. In Japan, there is a culture that does not favor these ways of eating, which is a psychological barrier for the visually impaired people when eating out. In this study, we examined whether the amount of food remaining in front of the visually impaired people estimated using an RGB-D camera, and whether it is possible for the visually impaired people to plan his or her meal without using visual information. We conducted an evaluation experiment using a blindfolded person with normal eyesight to demonstrate the effectiveness of voice-guided assistance. |
