Non Local Means Based on Local Statistics for Image Sequence Denoising

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose an extended Non Local Means for denoising noisy image sequences.Non Local Means is an image denoising method by computing a weighted average with both neighboring and non-neighboring data.The weight is obtained from the degree of similarity between the patch centered on this neighboring pixel and the patch centered on the pixel to be processed.We propose a new Non Local Means that removes noise from image sequences.The method is divided into two parts.One is adding a robust approach for Gaussian noise in the computation of similarity between patches.Another one is adjusting the filtering parameter to determine the weight based on local statistics.Through experimental results, we show that the proposed method improves the performance of both denoising and preserving the signal.
