[Short Paper] A Study of Street Dance Evaluation System Using Rhythm Keeping Index by Deep Learning

Abstract(in English) Due to the Japanese dance education compulsory, street dance gets great attention. General street dancers regard the dancing which movements match with the music rhythms, i.e., keeping rhythms, as skilful dancers. However, in the evaluation of street dance so far, it was confirmed manually whether the dancer could keep the rhythm. Hence, in this research, we are studying about the system that automatically calculates the rhythm keeping indexes from dance movies. Our proposed street dance evaluation system focuses on the ``early movements,'' which mean earlier movements of dancers compared to the music rhythms. Our proposed system recognizes the early movements by detecting the music rhythms and the dancer's movements by deep learning technologies. For street dance evaluations, we give the rhythm keeping indexes based on the frequency of the early movements.
