Abstract(in English) | This paper targets CBS (Credit-Based Shaper), one of the QoS controls of IEEE 802.1TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking) over Ethernet-based in-vehicle networks, and evaluates the effect of the in-class control on QoS by simulation. This experiment considers ECUs (Electronic Control Units) that generate traffic with multiple priorities; it compares the QoS when CBS control is performed within the ECU(in-class control) and the switch that connects the ECU and when CBS control is performed only within the switch. The experiment adopts delay as a QoS parameter. The experimental results indicate that in-class control is unnecessary when the network is not heavily congested. However, it is also shown that in-class control is necessary to maintain QoS for high-priority traffic when network congestion increases to some extent. |
