Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The effects of volcanic activity and earthquakes that occur on the ground can propagate into the ionosphere and cause disturbances. In this study, the possibility that these disturbances affect space objects such as satellites and space debris and alter their orbits is examined. The eruption of Hunga-Tonga-Haapai volcano on January 15, 2022, and the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, was taken as an example, and the results of TLE analysis, Kp-index, and solar radio flux (F10.7) were compared with those of the volcanic activities and earthquakes. The results show that there is a strong possibility that volcanic activity and earthquakes are related to ionospheric and geomagnetic disturbances.
