Abstract(in English) In unmanned autonomous driving mobility services, there is no driver or crew in the vehicle. Information presentation and service provision for passengers, which was performed by the driver, can be done remotely via a human machine interface (HMI). In this research, we examined the content and method of information presentation of the in-vehicle HMI for passengers. A virtual reality (VR) environment that reproduces the situation inside the unmanned autonomous bus was constructed. We conducted an experiment to measure subjective evaluation to the autonomous bus service by having experiment participants experience (1) the normal operation and (2) the operation involving an unusual event requiring emergency response. We examined whether or not displaying the face of a remote administrator on the in-vehicle HMI had the effect of improving acceptability and reliability of the unmanned autonomous bus.
