Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a similarity approach for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) range ambiguity suppression. Range ambiguity appears when scattered signals arrive from the outside of the observation swath. Its blurred appearance prevents accurate analysis especially for maritime monitoring. Existing methods require modulation of the transmitted wave or modification of the Pulse Repetition Frequency (PRF) on the satellite platform. We instead propose a similarity approach using another data which directly observes the range ambiguity source from the same orbit. By comparing those two-reception data, we successfully detect the signal from range ambiguity source and removed it under the dual-focusing post-processing manner.
