Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Currently, we are developing FILS15.4 (Fingerprint-based indoor localization system using IEEE802.15.4) as a low-cost, small-size, and long-life system. This protocol is used for low-speed short- range wireless communications. Regardless of weak and easily fluctuating signals, it achieves the high detection accuracy by limiting the detection resolution to one room and using multiple fingerprints for each room. In this paper, we propose two extensions of fingerprints for staircase detections and multiple LQI thresholds for fingerprint limitations to further improve the detection accuracy. For evaluations, we implemented the extended testbed system, and conducted experiments using up to 8 transmitters at #2 Engineering Building in Okayama University, which confirmed their effectiveness. |
