Evaluation of Error Correcting Capability of Finite State Code for DNA Storage

Abstract(in English) The total amount of digital data generated around the world is increasing exponentially, and it is expected to become difficult to store all digital data with conventional recording devices. For this reason, DNA-based storage devices (DNA storage) are being investigated. DNA storage is expected to achieve very high recording density and durability. On the other hand, DNA storage has the problem that errors such as substitutions, insertions and deletions occur more frequently than in conventional recording devices. In this paper we evaluates the performance of finite-state codes that can detect and correct these errors.
