Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We study a visible light communication (VLC) system that modulates data signals by changing the color components of image contents of a digital signage, captures them with an image sensor and demodulates them by image processing. This system requires that the color change during modulation should not be perceived by human eyes. In this study, we evaluate the communication quality and visual quality of modulation methods using chromaticity components using various standard images to clarify the superiority of the method with perceptually uniform color space, and propose a new modulation/demodulation method using diversity combining. Experimental results show that the proposed method can improve the communication quality for almost all the standard images.
