Abstract(in English) | Technologies related to optical access networks reported at ECOC2022, Europe's largest international conference on optical communication technologies, will be presented. In this field, the application of the technology to fifth-generation mobile communication systems (5G) has continued to be actively discussed in recent years. For this reason, this year's conference also focused on reports on high-capacity, high-loss budget, low-latency optical access system technologies that meet the performance requirements of 5G/Beyond 5G (6G) systems. In addition, the application of free space optical communication (FSO) to various networks was actively discussed due to the tightness of allocated radio frequencies caused by the recent increase in traffic. |
