Abstract(in English) | With the spread of LED technology, the development of image sensor communication (ISC) is rapidly accelerating. In ISC, a camera captures the blinking of LEDs, which are transmitted signals, and demodulates the information from the captured images. ISC simultaneously realizes various functions such as illumination and visual information transmission along with information transmission. This study focuses on ISCs that use an event camera as the receiver. Since an event camera detects and outputs changes in LED light in microseconds, it can achieve faster and lower latency communication compared to ISC using a commercial camera, which has a slower shooting speed. However, if the same signal is continuously transmitted, the event camera does not output any information because the LED light does not change. To solve this problem, this study uses a propeller-type rotary LED transmitter. The transmitter transmits data using the afterimage created by rotating the LED light. This allows the afterimage of the light to be output as an event because the LEDs on the image sensor move continuously. The output events are then projected onto the time axis and the data is demodulated. In this paper, the operation of the proposed system is verified through experiments, and the demodulation process is performed in an offline environment to evaluate the communication quality of this system. |
