Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, password-based authentication is often used for entity authentication of systems. However, because recently cyber-attacks become more sophisticated, it is not easy to securely manage systems only by users’ passwords. Traditionally, biometric authentication techniques using biometric information such as fingerprints and iris have been developed as well as authentication based on some secret information such as passwords. In this paper, we focus on a fuzzy signature scheme, which is an effective technique that provides authentication of systems based on both biometric information and cryptographic schemes and has applications including ATM for people having a single device. This paper provides a formal security definition for the lattice-based fuzzy signature construction proposed by Kaafarani and Katsumata, and proposes a variant of their constructions with a formal security proof, and analyzes security parameter sizes required in the proposed scheme.
