Fabrication of overdamped lateral Al/AlOx/Al junctions for the use at dilution refrigeration temperature

Abstract(in English) In order to combine single Cooper-pair devices and the available superconducting electronics where overdamped Josephson junctions are often used, we have developed a fabrication process of lateral Al/AlOx/Al Josephson junctions which showed overdamped characteristics at dilution refrigeration temperatures. The junction is composed of an Al/AlOx/Al tunnel junction which is fabricated with shadow evaporation and a shunt resistor made of Au thin film.
