Abstract(in English) | Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) is a technology that provides users with vast computing resources at low latency by allowing MEC servers to perform user-submitted tasks on their behalf. In MEC systems where multiple mobile users share multiple servers, server selection (i.e. user association), users' path planning, and communication and computing resources allocation are essential to take advantage of the MEC systems. In this paper, we propose a path planning and resource allocation method for multiple users sharing multiple MEC servers to improve the task processing success rate and shorten the task processing delay. Specifically, we adopt dynamic programming to derive the path that maximizes the sum of weighted communication rates considering user association and then use Johnson's algorithm to allocate the resources that minimize the maximum task processing delay. The numerical evaluation showed that the proposed method improved the MEC performance compared to the benchmark method. |
