Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to put fully automated driving into practice, ensuring the safety of pedestrians is important. Research of pedestrian recognition technology by sharing location information using wireless communication technology has been considered. However, the increasing power consumption of global positioning system (GPS) and wireless LAN is an issue. In order to solve this problem, by obtaining the information necessary for wireless LAN connection in advance by using LoRa, a low power consumption method, beacon from a terminal to a road side unit, a method was proposed to adaptively control the timing of each wireless communication technology and reduce power consumption while sharing location information. However, the design of beacon transmission interval for reducing power consumption and communication establishment was not considered. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a more realistic scenario, by determining if the information can be received based on packet delivery ratio, and the beacon transmission interval is set so that the information can be received at least once before the communication range of wireless LAN. From the simulation result, it was confirmed that it is possible to determine the beacon transmission interval with a success probability of 95% or higher communication with the roadside unit, even considering the power consumption.
