Abstract(in English) | The quasi-zenith satellite, Michibiki, not only broadcasts the L1C/A positioning signal, but also the L1S signal, which improves its accuracy and conveys disaster information. Receiving L1S signals in addition to L1C/A signal provides us with the disaster information as well as more accurate coordinates. Since the rough position is known to the receiver, here we consider obtaining disaster information by receiving only the L1S signal. Since the L1S message is convolutionally coded and broadcast without termination, the preamble cannot be detected with the L1S signal reception only and the frame synchronization cannot also be performed. After all, L1C/A signal reception has been needed for L1S signal reception. However, only for a null message in which fixed information is transmitted, we can predict the bit string after being scrambled. Therefore, a method of detecting L1S frame synchronization using the null messages is proposed in this report. |
