Study on Miniaturization of Free-Space Method in E-band

Abstract(in English) The free-space method, which measures S-parameters by placing a sample at the focus of a horn antenna with dielectric lens, is investigated to reduce the size of the device. The smaller the device, the easier it is for the user to use. Specifically, we will investigate the possibility of miniaturization in the E-band (60-90 GHz) of the millimeter wave band by reducing the size of the device to 1/2 or 1/4 and comparing the estimation accuracy of the dielectric permittivity in those cases.
