Learning Digital Back Propagation considering XPM in WDM systems

Abstract(in English) We propose a scheme to compensate waveform distortion of optical signals due to fiber nonlinearity in wavelength-division multiplexed transmission systems, where we apply a learning process based on stochastic gradient descent to digital back propagation considering cross-phase modulation between different channels. We derive mathematical framework to optimize the parameters, and confirm the performance of compensation for nonlinear waveform distortion against multi-channel QAM signals obtained in transmission experiment.
