Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dielectric properties such as the dielectric constant of materials can be measured using microwaves and radars. Applying these measurements to real-world problems requires the conversion of dielectric properties to other physical properties since applications often do not require dielectric properties but other properties. Furthermore, microwave measurements in situ or under challenging conditions often need additional ingenuity. The report illustrates some of our work on microwave measurements used in civil, environmental and resources engineering applications.
