[Invited Lecture] Eigenvalue analysis for periodic electromagnetic wave scattering problems using the BEM and SSM

Abstract(in English) In this article we describe a numerical method for obtaining eigenvalues of electromagnetic wave scattering problems with the Boundary element method and Sakurai-Sugiura method. With an electromagnetic wave scattering problem being formulated as an integral equation, its eigenvalues are given as solutions of a non-linear eigenvalue problem. We explain how to solve this eigenvalue problem with the Sakurai-Sugiura method, which transforms it into a generalised eigenvalue problem.
