Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Priming can affect the social presence of humans in our daily conversations. Priming effects have been observed between humans and agents as well as between humans. In this study, we conducted an experiment to analyze the effects of priming and bi-standing of the priming agent on the perceived social presence of the primed agent. The results showed that by-standing of the priming agent reduced the social presence of the primed agent. This suggests that the degree of interaction between humans and each agent may affect the perceived social presence of the agents.
