Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Age-related attenuation in ocular crystalline lens spectral transmittance can affect non-visual/visual effects of light. However, the relationship between age-related changes in the crystalline lens and non-visual/visual effects of light is not well understood because there is no method to measure the crystalline lens spectral transmittance. We have developed a system, referred to as a Purkinje image-based system, that enables in vivo measurement of lens spectral transmission. This presentation provides an overview of the Purkinje image-based system and introduces our non-visual and visual studies using the Purkinje image-based system.
