Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With technological innovation and the change in social conditions, the virtual reality (VR) experience has become familiar to us. Many immersive VR systems using a head-mounted display (HMD) have recently been offered. In evaluating these VR systems, it is important to consider how real this experience feels to the user (sense of presence). In addition, in the VR experience of one's own body, such as "the arm extends" and "the viewpoint changes," it is important whether the virtual body in the VR space is perceived as their own or not (embodiment). This paper introduces some of my studies on the "sense of presence" and "embodiment" in VR environments.
