Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Autonomous vehicles are equipped with numerous sensors, and the vehicle runs according to their measurements. Therefore, if the measurements are manipulated during the sensing process, there is a possibility of control errors. In autonomous vehicles, LiDAR is mainly used for object detection, and there has been a lot of research on distance spoofing attacks. However, previous research subjects have determined the attack parameters for individual LiDARs based on preliminary studies at the laboratory level, and no studies have been conducted in an actual attack environment. In this study, we propose a method for estimating when to irradiate the attacking light and a method for extracting the parameters for distance spoofing for LiDAR in a generic manner. Specifically, by increasing the number of photodiodes used to observe the measurement timing of LiDAR to multiple photodiodes, we calculate the parameter (delay time) required for distance spoofing from the time difference between two points, the observation point and the attack point, and demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method using actual equipment.
