Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The concept of Self-sovereign identity (SSI), which states that users should be able to manage their own identity information, is spreading globally, and the development of enabling technologies, standardization, and social implementation are progressing. On the other hand, SSI has not yet been strictly defined or agreed upon, and thus the technical requirements have not been clarified. This paper analyzes the problems of SSI by returning to the principles of SSI and reviewing current technologies and system implementations. We then derive the technical requirements necessary to realize SSI as a global social infrastructure in the future, and raise the unresolved issues of SSI.
