Fundamental research on analysis of electromagnetic radiation from coplanar transmission lines

Abstract(in English) Undesired electromagnetic radiation from electronic devices is a serious problem because it causes performance degradation and malfunction of other electronic devices. In particular, recent communication systems operate at increasingly higher frequencies, and the effects of undesired high-frequency electromagnetic radiation may become many problems. As a result, it is expected that coplanar transmission lines, which are considered to have good transmission characteristics and less undesired electromagnetic radiation, will be attention than the current mainstream microstrip lines. I would like to indicate the advantage of coplanar transmission lines by comparing undesired electromagnetic radiation. Undesired electromagnetic emission was obtained by analysis using the FDTD method and measurement. It was shown that the maximum radiated electric field strength from the coplanar transmission lines is smaller than microstrip lines with the same line length.
