Abstract(in English) | With the spread of smartphones, many university students carry a Wi-Fi connection terminal and connect it to the campus LAN at all times. Therefore, we can expect the application of people flow analysis using WiFi broadcast signals (beacon signals and probe request signals) to survey the approximate number of participants in various events and to grasp the degree of sufficiency with respect to the capacity of each classroom. Consequently, we are constructing a system that collects received signal strength indicators of WiFi signals for the purpose of sensing the location and rough number of people staying indoors. This paper describes the configuration of a system that measures the received signal strength of WiFi beacon signals, collects data via LAN, and analyzes the data. In addition, we report the results of basic investigation through experiments. |
