[Poster Presentation] Bandwidth-by-band Measurement of Spatial-Mode Dispersion of Coupled 2-Core and 4-Core Fibers employing Linear Optical Sampling

Abstract(in English) The impulse responses of coupled 2-core and 4-core fibers with various fiber lengths were measured over a wide bandwidth of 20 nm employing linear optical sampling. From the obtained complex impulse responses, the root-mean square was used to measure the spatial-mode dispersion. The spectra obtained from Fourier transform of the complex impulse response were used to measure the spatial-mode dispersion using the root-mean square of the complex impulse response. Such spectra were then divided into frequency subbands having constant bandwidth, and the variation of spatial-mode dispersion for each constant bandwidth obtained by inverse Fourier transforming was evaluated and compared for 2-core and 4-core fibers.
