Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Effectiveness of differential features in waveforms of pupil light reflex (PLR) was examined for detecting Alzheimer's Disease (AD) using their responses in addition to these average waveforms. PLRs for 10s were observed in response to 1s three color light pulse (red, blue and white) in two levels of light intensity, and these features were extracted using a functional data analysis with B-spline basis functions. Discriminant analysis for AD patients was conducted with the extended data set, and some contributions of differential features of PLRs were confirmed. In particular, differential features in red and blue light pulse contributed to classification performance.
