[Invited Talk] Transverse mode control and bandwidth enhancement of 1060nm coupled cavity VCSELs

Abstract(in English) A lot of unique features of VCSELs have been proven. The market of VCSELs has been growing up rapidly and they are now key devices in data center networks. High speed VCSELs have been intensively developed for rapid growth in network traffics. The data rate reaches at 50 Gbps or higher. In this paper, the advances on VCSEL photonics will be reviewed, in particular, our recent activities on new functions and integration of VCSEL photonics. We address a lateral integration platform and new functions, including 1060nm high speed coupled cavity VCSELs for use in single-mode fiber data transmission.
