Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this article, we propose two novel non-homogeneous Poisson process (NHPP)-based software reliability models (SRMs), called finite-failure (type-I) local polynomial NHPP-based SRM and infinite-failure (type-II) local polynomial NHPP-based SRM, whose software debug rates are given by a local polynomial function. The local polynomial SRMs enable us to control the goodness-of-fit by changing the polynomial degree. Numerical examples with 8 software fault count time-interval data are devoted to compare our local polynomial NHPP-based SRMs with the well-known existing NHPP-based SRMs in terms of goodness-of-fit performances.
